These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Crowd Risk Analysis Ltd. By accessing or purchasing from AboutCrowds, you accept these Terms in full.
1. About Us
Crowd Risk Analysis Ltd ('we', 'us', 'CRA eLearning') operates the AboutCrowds platform at aboutcrowds.com. Registered office: Orchid House, 26 Morewood Drive, Burton-in-Kendal, Cumbria, UK, LA6 1NE. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this site, registering an account, or purchasing a course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time; continued use following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must not share your account with any other person.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where these Terms are breached.
4. Courses and Access
Licence to access: Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access course content for your own personal, non-commercial learning. This does not include the right to download, copy, share, or resell any content.
Access period: Access begins on the date of your first login. We recommend completing Level 5 courses within 3 months and Level 3 courses within 60 days. Accounts inactive for more than 90 days may require re-registration. Contact support@gksed.com to request reactivation.
System requirements: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have compatible hardware, software, and internet access. We are not liable for inability to access content due to your system not meeting requirements.
Service availability: We take all commercially reasonable steps to provide uninterrupted access. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, third-party outages, or force majeure events. We will restore access as promptly as reasonably possible.
5. Financial Terms
- All prices are quoted and invoiced in GBP (British pounds sterling).
- Currency conversion costs for international payments are the responsibility of the purchaser.
- Applicable sales taxes will be added in accordance with the relevant jurisdiction's regulations.
- Full payment or a valid purchase order is required before course access is granted.
- Purchase orders must be settled within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Preferred payment method is BACS or international bank transfer.
- Only one discount may be applied per booking; discounts are mutually exclusive.
- Late payment may result in the withdrawal of any applied discounts.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the AboutCrowds platform — including course materials, assessments, videos, text, and design elements — is the property of Crowd Risk Analysis Ltd (© G. Keith Still) or its licensors, protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Each course licence is granted to one named individual only and cannot be transferred, resold, or shared. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, or commercially exploit any platform content without our prior written consent.
7. Acceptable Use
By using the platform, you agree not to:
- Plagiarise, copy, or reproduce another learner's work or assessments
- Pay or engage a third party to complete coursework or assessments on your behalf
- Use AI-generated content (including output from tools such as ChatGPT or similar) to complete written assignments or essays
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or associated systems
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable law
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
Breach of these requirements will result in immediate removal from affected courses with no refund and may result in permanent account suspension.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Course content is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. The platform is provided on an 'as is, as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course. Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Third-Party Links
The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
10. Fair Use and Copyright Notice
Some materials are included under fair use provisions for educational and research purposes, in accordance with Section 29 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107. Where you wish to use materials beyond fair use, you must obtain written permission from the copyright holder.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Notices and Severability
